Breadcrumbs - a food product created as a result of grinding or rubbing dry bread.
It is used, among others as an ingredient in breading. It is also used to sprinkle the mold on the cake (to prevent it from sticking). Adding a certain amount of breadcrumbs to semi-finished culinary products increases their thickness and cohesiveness (minced meat).
In addition to the kitchen, the breadcrumbs are used as fishing groundbait, or as food for birds or fish.
Due to its hygroscopicity, it should be stored in a dry place as it may squeeze or rot. It should not be stored for more than 6 months.
Despite the name, breadcrumbs do not necessarily have to be made of breadcrumbs. For its production, rusks, bread, biscuits, etc. can be used.
